Yay! 2017! 14

Happy New Year, Friends!

I hope you’ve all had a great start to 2017, it’s so weird to think that my baby was born last year. Time just goes so fast when you are a parent, it just runs past you, just like my little one will be doing in a blink of an eye!

I temporarily fell out of the habit of blogging again, it seems I’ve already failed one of my new years resolutions. Be more organised. Oops. If you were worried that something may of happened, it didn’t, we are all well! I just kept forgetting.

Motherhood has become a little more exhausting lately. Baby is crawling at the speed of light, pulling up on everything and his sense of mischief has been turbo boosted! This has also been a contributing factor to my disappearance from the blogosphere.

Just before Christmas, we visited Indore and Ujjain and had a wonderful time. I can’t wait to tell you more about our trip. We were able to spend some time with our friends who moved from Nagpur to Indore as well as see some of the sights Indore and Ujjain had to offer. Rural Madhya Pradesh is so much greener compared to Maharashtra, which is almost yellow. That is just the first of several differences I noticed between the two states, and that was before we even departed the train!

I have so many posts to catch up on!

I didn’t do anything different than usual Lauren. I lost my mum to cancer and had no festive spirit this time. But turn the corner in the new year and YIKES. My nephew’s marriage is only next month. Gotta get ready!

Hello Lauren, Happy New Year 🙂 2016 was spent in a jiffy! I cannot believe me and my husband have spent 6 months together. I really miss India and hope to be back soon. May you have a fabulous year ahead!

I’m from Indore! I used to live there until I moved to America. It’s such a cool city! I hope you had lots of food there. It’s a gastronomer’s delight.

Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities in India viz. Jaipur, Udaipur, Bhopal, Nagpur, Indore, Vadodara etc. are much better than Megapolis like Delhi & Mumbai.

Hi Lauren, I discovered your site a little while ago and dropped in a couple of weeks ago disappointed that there were no posts. But now I can understand why. Congratulations on your babys first birthday. My husband and I are approaching our first wedding anniversary and are constantly being asked when are we having our first son. It is all about son’s in Punjab culture. Looking forward to your future posts.

Happy New Year, Lauren! I’m sure 2017 will be even busier as Rahul grows, and more exciting! Wishing you and your family well for the year.
